Arad Water Meters | Fully Pattern Approved

What does having Pattern Approval for Arad Water Meters mean? 

 

The National Measurement Institute has issued certain Arad products with Certificates of Approval NMI 14/3/29 and 14/3/44 (issued by the Chief Metrologist) under Regulation 60 of the National Measurement Regulations 1999. These Certificates relate to the suitability of the pattern of the instrument for use for trade only in respect of its metrological characteristics.

These products include: 

1.  Arad Model Octave Ultrasonic Water Meters from sizes DN50 to DN200

2.  Arad Model WSTsb Woltman Water Meters from sizes DN50 to DN300

 

What is the Arad Model Octave Water Meter? 

A revolutionary, precise and ultra reliable ultrasonic bulk water meter with no moving parts.
With superior hydraulic and batteries that last up to 15 years, the Octave is today’s best choice for bulk meters.

Connection type:  Table D Flanged end connections.

Display: A digital electronic indicating device giving a maximum display of 999 999 999.999 m3 in 0.001 m3 increments.

Communications: communications modules may be fitted to the meter allowing the following output options:

  • Pulse output;
  • 4-20 mA output;
  • AMR output;
  • Encoder protocol output; and
  • Modbus communications.

Body: Cast Iron or Stainless Steel

The meter is approved for use in the metering of potable and non-potable water supplies. The meter was not tested for the effect of water quality; however some pattern approval testing was performed with a non-potable water of an unspecified nature.

 

What is a Arad Model WSTsb Water Meter? 

The Arad WSTsb water meter is primarily used to measure cold potable water supplies.

The pattern consists of a Woltman type mechanical water meter incorporating an impeller flow sensor and a mechanical indicating flow converter (calculator/indicator) and has features/functions as listed below:

Connection type:  Table D Flanged

Display: A mechanical display allowing for a maximum indication range of 9,999,999 m3 in 0.0005 m3 increments 

Materials: Meter body: Epoxy coated Cast iron and Ductile iron Indicator housing: Polymer material

The Arad meter is approved for use in the metering of potable water supplies. The Arad meter is also approved for use in the metering of non-potable water supplies of an unspecified nature.
